Prof. Sedat Yanturalı who defeated Covid-19 said: "I quit smoking 10 years ago. Our lungs are very valuable. I am glad that I quit smoking, since it would have been worse if I hadn't."
Sedat Yanturalı, M.D., Professor at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Dokuz Eylül University (DEU), explained his experience of recovering from the new form of coronavirus (Covid-19).
Prof. Sedat Yanturalı, M.D., who helped many patients survive in the emergency medical department and trained many successful physicians, received a positive PCR test after manifesting symptoms on November 22.
Yanturalı, who appeared to have pneumonia due to the severe symptoms of the disease, was hospitalized as a Covid-19 patient at the hospital where he treated many patients for years.
During the 3-month struggle of Prof. Yanturalı at hospital and home, his greatest supporters were his fellow physicians and his interns with whom he saved lives. Prof. Dr. Yanturalı returned to his work following the treatment.
