In the Tortum district of Erzurum, the healthcare team barely reached the rural neighbourhood, where part of the road was closed due to snow and could not be passed by a vehicle and administered the Covid-19 vaccines to the Albayrak couple.
In Erzurum, one of the hardest and toughest cities in Türkiye during winter season, healthcare teams travel miles through the mountains, snow and storms to deliver vaccines to citizens in order to fight the new form of coronavirus (Covid-19).
The fight against Covid-19 and vaccination efforts in the city continue thanks to the outstanding efforts of doctors, nurses, and healthcare personnel under the coordination of Provincial Health Director Gürsel Bedir.
In Uzunkavak Neighborhood, 65 kilometers from Tortum district and at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters, the couple Sabit Albayrak and Güldali Albayrak above the age of 85 wanted an appointment for the vaccine from 182 MHRS hotline.
A mobile team of doctors, two nurses and a driver from the district set off in their vehicle to reach the address.
