As part of the fight against the new form of coronavirus (Covid-19), the number of people vaccinated with CoronaVac has exceeded 2.5 million.

Vaccination efforts began with healthcare professionals across the country on January 14th as part of the "Covid-19 Vaccine National Administration Strategy." Then, the vaccination of other citizens was initiated according to the priority order.

In this context, on January 19th, the residents of nursing homes and their caregivers, as well as those over the age of 90 were vaccinated. Healthcare teams went homes to administer vaccines to those over 90.

Citizens aged 85 and over were vaccinated at their homes on January 21st following an assessment by the Scientific Committee.

In line with the National Administration Strategy, vaccination of those aged 80 and over was initiated on January 25. Vaccinations continue with citizens aged 75 and over.

According to the Ministry's "Covid-19 Vaccine Information Platform", the number of CoronaVac vaccine recipients across the country reached 2,500,325 by 19:30.
