The number of those who recovered increased by 11,714 to 2,387,032. The widespread vaccination campaign against Covid-19 began on 27 December 2020, and the number of those vaccinated has been 3,998,727. It is reported that among those vaccinated, 1,370,373 received the second dose.

Emphasizing in his statement that the more contagious variants of Covid-19 have been causing increases in cases in schools, Gianni Rezza, Director of Epidemic Prevention at the Ministry of Health said: “It's always painful to talk about shutting down schools.
