Followed by New York with 47,498 and Texas with 43,519, the state of California is also leading with the loss of 51,953 lives due to Covid-19 across the USA.

According to Johns Hopkins University records, which compiled data on the new variant of Corona virus (Covid-19), the number of cases confirmed with the virus in the US increased by 67,819 to 28,554,938 in the last 24 hours.

The number of people who have died due to the outbreak increased by 1,532 and reached 511,999.

Highest number of cases and deaths in California
According to Johns Hopkins, California ranks first in the country with more than 3,563,000 cases, followed by Texas with more than 2,649,000 and Florida with more than 1,903,000 cases.
