The number of people died of new variant of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the UK has increased by 290 in the last 24 hours to 122,705.

According to the data announced by the Ministry of Health, 7,434 Covid-19 cases have been reported in the UK in the last 24 hours, with the total number of cases reaching to 4,170,519.

With the death of 290 people within the last 24 hours, the mortality has reached up to 122,705.

The number of those who got the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine has reached to 19,682,048 and 768,810 of them has gotten the second dose of vaccine as well.

In the country, 14,808 people are still being treated in hospitals, of which 1,971 are in intensive care.

The UK remains the country with the highest mortality rate due to Covid-19 in Europe.
