In Senegal, the lowest daily number of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic which began in March 2020 was recorded with 2 cases.

According to the statement by the Ministry of Health, 1411 tests were done in the last 24 hours and 2 cases were detected.

While the infection rate fell to 0.14%, 16 people recovered and no Covid-19 related death happened.

Therefore, the lowest daily cases of Covid-19 were recorded with 2 cases since 2nd of March 2020, the date when Covid-19 was first observed.

In Senegal where the 3rd wave of the pandemic started to be felt in July and August, the highest daily case number was reached with 1722 cases in July 18.

The highest numbers of coronavirus-related deaths was recorded in 10 August when 31 people lost their lives.

In the country with a population of approximately 16 million, while 73,802 cases were recorded, 71,870 people recovered.

In the country where 1,259,187 people got vaccinated within the scope of the vaccination campaign that began in February, it is planned that 9 million people get vaccinated until the end of the year.
